'Celebrate' by Trish |
I'm wearing my classic festival dress
If one looks closely it's quite a mess.I've stitched and darned, what's falling apart
With needle and thread I've refined the art.The perfume of days long gone away
Linger in the clothes worn on Festival day
We all join hands and we leap about,
It's toe and heel, and then a shout,
'Winter! Spring! Summer! Fall!'
Let's all prosper and heed the call,
Bring branches and boughs, covered with leaves,
Bring branches and boughs, covered with leaves,
And the heart shaped ivy with its many greens.
Create garlands to adorn our wrists, our necks,No need for money, nor to impress
In sunshine, wind, storms and rain
Our 'Festival of Thanks' honours its name.
