MID-WAY

By Trish  2013
Once upon a time, there was a lovely young maid,
she couldn't even help, with the table to be laid!
You see, someone had stolen the good girl's hands,
long, long ago, in far off, unknown, foreign lands.

One day as she walked, a prince passed her by,
he saw the handless maid and gave a  long, sad cry,
"Dear girl, dear girl, what brought  you to this state?
What mischief has befallen you, to cast such a fate?'

'Dear sir, dear sir, it is not as bad as it seems,
I find time to wander, and time for sweet dreams.
Nothing can I take, and nothing can I give,
and as I now, view it, leaves me free to love and live'.

TENDER TOUCH

By Trish  2013
Signs and stars bewilder, stir depths, to dreams,
conjure other worlds, beyond what mine means.
Lend shadows lightness, blended with care,
Whispers, ever softer 'Follow, those who dare'.

MYSTERIOUS

By Trish  2013
Oh, life is a mysterious, strange affair,
neither here and now, nor, is it there.
Precious objects, lost along the way,
important matters, no longer hold sway.

This path cannot possibly, be the same,
yet, I know it somehow, as through a pane,
of glinting glass carved, cut into sacred signs,
and by the holy music, that vibrates the divine.

CUTE BABY

By Trish 2013
I'm sitting in a circle surrounded by bright light,
I'm trying so hard  to reach it, but my pants are too tight.
I'll just have to sit here until I can find a way,
to reach the light that surrounds me, each night and day.

STYLE

I have an air about me, that, of other worlds.
By Trish  2013
But sadly, alas, I lack, a full body of curls.
Whenever I'm out walking, I really could cry,
at the lovely curly tops I see, proudly pass by.

It isn't a matter of jealousy, nothing like that,
envy is not one of my failings and that's a fact.
Usually I feel equal to one and absolutely all,
but my lack of any curls, makes me feel small.

Down, down I go, depression grips me hard,
I'd rather stay home and suffer, in my own yard.
But alas my destiny, is to walk my powerless path,
that pleases others, such as giving me a bath!!!!

PETALS

Trish 2013
Rose petals are such sacred things,
a lyrical, fragrant, prayer-born hymn.
In their loveliness, bright and pure,
the sacred petals, fresh faith ensure.

SUN FEVER

By Trish  2013
We're dancing in the hot sun,
it's far better than having to run,
through prickly weeds, and dry grass,
that simply refuse to let us pass,
on our way, in our happy hues,
so to dance! is what we choose!.

FORGOTTEN

Trish 2013
Loyal little bloom, resting there all alone,
torn from a garden where once you were known.

Carelessly cast from sight, left there to die,
Loyal little bloom, surely, you wonder why?

DAISY SECRETS

By Trish  2013
Blessed by sun, wind and rain,
the dear daisy is ever the same.
Opening tender rain teared eyes,
whilst raising petals to bluest sky.

He loves me, he loves me not!
is often heard from a little tot,
and from others, who ask as well,
but neither one, will the dear daisy tell.
