A SORTA-SOLDIER-SAILOR-MAN

(It's a long tall tale)

Yes here he is, he's the man!

'The Man'  by Trish  1995
He says he's fought, like no one can!
His story goes from far and wide
I've the impression, he tries to hide?

Now what is it?, why would he do that?
I noticed, he has no gold braid, on his cap.
In fact he's no gold braid anywhere,
And he doesn't seem to even care,

What rules and regulations are about,
He's more concerned with, 'whose turn to shout?'
The man's a mystery, he's not what he seems,
I think he fabricates, all from his dreams.

Last nigh he asked me to go on a trip,

He said he can borrow a large battle ship.
Well, we'll see, the truth will come out,
I said I'd think it over but, needed to know about,
Where we were going and when we'd be back?
His reply was, 'don't worry friend, just go home and pack'.
