I JUST KNEW IT!

I knew I shouldn't do it, but I couldn't say no,
When the buzzer went, I knew, it was time for me to go.
But what's a body to do, when temptation bids one stay?
Mine said, have a damn good time, even if there's hell to pay.

So there it is, I did it, and I'm not the least bit sorry,
Why does enjoying oneself, have to be such a worry?
I'm starting to think, life should be more fun, with lots of laughs,
Jumping, running, rolling down a hill, on sweet, fresh, grass.

The trouble is, now I've done it three times in a row,
I promised myself the first time, and the last, that's it! for sure!
But when the buzzer went, and I should have gone, I went back for more.
