CLIMBING THE- BY - WAYS

''
'Another Time'  by  Trish
It came upon me softly, I don't know where or when.
It brought with it change, and I was never the same again.
Sun, salt and sea, no longer gave a fresh, free day,
Nor strolls through city or country side, all joy had gone away.

Warmth had once lain upon me, as a garment from the cold,
It held a promise to remain with me, until I was very old.
But change, came upon me, softly, as a thief in the night,
Steals the crown jewels, without need of even a fight.
