For it may touch, when least understood.
Often a strange touch, even depressing,
I'd rather take no notice, if, I but, could.
The tug of the heart is timeless,
Once it starts, the demand is forever.
To ignore, the request leaves one mindless,
A truly dangerous endeavour.
